[🕊️QT Meditation] The Testing of Your Faith Produces Perseverance, and Perseverance Leads to Maturity
🟥끝없이 밀려오는 삶의 유혹과 시험 속에서 우리는 누구를 바라보고 있습니까?
야고보서 1장 묵상 : 믿음의 연단이 인내를 이루고 인내는 온전함에 이르게 합니다.

오늘날 우리는 끝없는 경쟁과 비교 속에서 살아갑니다. 눈앞의 성과, 재정적 안정, 사회적 인정, 사람들의 시선과 평가가 우리의 마음을 조여 옵니다. 이 치열한 세상 속에서 믿음의 사람조차도 흔들리고, 때로는 유혹에 이끌려 죄의 문턱에 서기도 합니다.
야고보서 1장 말씀은 우리에게 이렇게 말합니다.
각 사람이 시험을 당하는 것은 자신의 욕심에 이끌려 유혹에 빠지기 때문입니다.

하나님께서 주시는 시험이 아닙니다. 우리의 마음속 깊은 곳에 자리한 욕심, 그것이 바로 유혹을 불러오고 결국 죄를 낳으며, 죄는 자라나 사망에 이르게 합니다.
아담과 하와의 이야기처럼, 우리는 여전히 "하나님보다 더 좋아 보이는 무언가"를 바라보고 선택합니다. 그것이 돈일 수도, 명예일 수도, 안락함일 수도 있습니다.
이런 세상 속에서, 믿음의 연단은 더 이상 낭만적인 단어가 아니라, 고통과 절망 속에서 버텨야 하는 현실이 됩니다.
🟥 In the midst of endless temptations and trials, where is your gaze fixed?
Today, we live under relentless pressure — constant competition, comparison, financial stress, the craving for recognition, and the fear of others’ opinions. Even those of faith often waver, drawn near the edge of sin by the lure of the world.
James 1 says,
Each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.
James 1:14
These trials are not from God. They are born from the desires rooted deep within us. Desire gives birth to sin, and sin, when fully grown, gives birth to death.
Just like Adam and Eve, we still choose w`hat seems better than God — be it wealth, comfort, or reputation.
In such a world, the refining of our faith is no longer a poetic concept. It becomes a real struggle — one that must be endured in pain and uncertainty.
🟨 우리는 왜 의심하고 흔들리는가?
야고보서 1장 묵상 : 믿음의 연단이 인내를 이루고 인내는 온전함에 이르게 합니다.

믿음으로 구했지만, 그 믿음을 지키지 못하는 이유는 무엇인가요?
야고보서 1장 6절은 말합니다.
“오직 믿음으로 구하고 조금도 의심하지 마십시오. 의심하는 사람은 바람에 밀려 요동하는 바다 물결 같습니다.”
믿음으로 기도합니다. 하지만 현실이 바뀌지 않을 때, 상황이 더 어려워질 때, 우리는 하나님의 응답을 기다리지 못하고 흔들립니다. 마치 거센 바람 앞에서 뒤흔들리는 바닷물처럼 말입니다.
우리의 눈은 현실의 고통을 보고, 귀는 절망의 소리를 듣습니다. 마음은 불안에 휘둘리고, 감정은 외로움에 잠식당합니다. 의지는 약해지고, 믿음은 침묵 속에서 말라갑니다.
하나님을 신뢰한다고 말하면서도, 우리는 하나님의 말씀보다 세상의 보장과 안전을 더 믿고 싶은 연약한 존재입니다.
🟨 Why do we doubt and waver, even after praying in faith?
We ask in faith, yet fail to hold on. Why?
James 1:6 reminds us:
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
James 1:6,
We pray in faith, yet when circumstances worsen or answers seem delayed, we begin to falter. Like waves tossed by the wind, our hearts grow weary.
We see the pain, hear the despair, feel the fear, and our emotions are overwhelmed. Our will grows weak, and our faith begins to wither in silence.
Though we say we trust God, our actions often show that we trust worldly security more than His Word. We are frail beings, easily shaken.
🟩 믿음의 연단은 결코 헛되지 않습니다.
야고보서 1장 묵상 : 믿음의 연단이 인내를 이루고 인내는 온전함에 이르게 합니다.

믿음의 연단은 인내를 낳고, 인내는 결국 온전함에 이르게 합니다.
여러분이 알다시피 여러분의 믿음의 연단은 인내를 이룹니다. 인내를 온전히 이루십시오.
그러면 여러분이 온전하고 성숙하게 돼 아무것에도 부족한 것이 없게 될 것입니다.
(야고보서 1:3-4)
이 말씀은 절망 속에서 한 줄기 빛처럼 다가옵니다.
우리가 고통받고 연단을 겪는 이유는 단순히 견디기 위해서가 아닙니다. 그것은 하나님께서 우리를 온전하고 성숙한 존재로 빚으시는 여정입니다.
이 인내는 우리의 몸과 마음, 감정과 상처까지 하나님께서 다듬어 가시는 시간입니다.
우리가 오직 믿음으로 구할 때, 의심하지 않고 나아갈 때, 하나님은 반드시 응답하십니다.
그 응답은 우리가 기대한 방식이 아닐 수도 있지만, 항상 우리의 가장 깊은 필요를 채우시는 하나님의 방법입니다.
🟩 The testing of our faith is never in vain.
It produces perseverance, and perseverance leads to maturity and completeness.
Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
(James 1:3-4)
These words shine like light in our darkest valleys.
God allows our trials not simply to make us endure, but to shape us into His likeness — whole, mature, lacking nothing.
This perseverance touches every part of us — body, mind, emotions, and scars.
When we ask in unwavering faith, God surely answers.
His answers may not look like what we expect, but they will always meet our deepest need.
🟦 지금도 우리는 결단의 갈림길에 서 있습니다.

주님의 음성에 귀 기울이시겠습니까?
우리 삶의 시험은 대부분 나의 욕심에서 비롯됨을 고백합니다.
우리는 세상에서 벗어날 수 없지만, 세상을 따라 살 필요는 없습니다.
주님께서 우리에게 주신 소명, 복음 전파와 하나님의 영광을 위한 삶을 기억하며, 다시 그분의 말씀 앞으로 돌아가야 합니다.
세상은 요란하고 거칠지만, 주님의 음성은 언제나 조용하고 선명합니다.
우리의 삶이 흔들릴수록, 그 말씀을 꼭 붙잡아야 합니다.
🟦 Today, we stand again at a crossroads.
Will you listen to the voice of the Lord?
Let us confess: Most of our trials come from within — our own selfish desires.
We may not escape the world, but we are not called to live like the world.
Let us remember our calling — to preach the Gospel and live for the glory of God. And let us return to His Word. The world is loud and chaotic, but the voice of Jesus is always still and clear.
The more our lives shake, the more tightly we must cling to His promises.
🟪 이제, 하나님의 말씀을 붙들고 믿음의 기도로 나아가겠습니다.

주님,
오늘도 시험 가운데 있는 저희를 긍휼히 여겨주옵소서.
세상이 주는 유혹과 욕심 앞에 저희의 마음이 흔들렸습니다.
주님의 말씀보다 더 좋아 보이는 것을 쫓으며 우상처럼 의지했습니다.
하지만 오늘, 주님 앞에 회개합니다.
주님을 온전히 믿고, 주님의 말씀을 따라 인내함으로
결국 온전함에 이르는 믿음의 길을 걷게 하소서.
주여, 우리의 기도를 들어주옵소서.
믿음으로 구한 것들이 이미 이루어졌음을 믿고 감사하게 하소서.
시험을 통해 더욱 단단해지는 믿음을 허락하시고,
세상 속에서도 거룩함을 지켜 주님의 영광을 드러내게 하소서.
사랑하는 하나님 아버지,
주의 종 건주부가 주님의 복음을 전파하는 사역 가운데 있습니다.
그의 삶과 사역을 기름 부어 주시고,

하나님의 선하신 뜻 가운데 사용되게 하소서.
이 기업을 통해 선교와 구제의 통로가 열리고,

🟪 Now, let us walk forward in faith, clinging to His Word in prayer.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
(Mark 11:24)
Prayer:
Lord Jesus,
Have mercy on us today as we face trials and temptations.
Our hearts have wavered before the desires and false securities of the world.
We chased what seemed more appealing than Your Word.
But today, we return in repentance.
Help us trust You completely.
Strengthen us to endure, so that we may walk the path of faith that leads to maturity.
Let us believe that what we have asked in faith has already been done, and help us give thanks.
Through every trial, build in us a faith that is stronger,
and help us remain holy in this world — shining for Your glory.
Father God,
Your servant Geon-ju-bo is faithfully proclaiming Your Gospel.
Bless his life and ministry with Your anointing.

Through these businesses, open doors for missions and compassion,
and let many experience and return to You.
Above all else, Lord, we belong to You.
