🟥 말씀은 알지만, 삶으로 사는 것은 왜 이토록 어려운가요?

 

요한이서 묵상 : 진리를 알아도 사랑하지 않으면... 아무 소용 없습니다.

우리는 성경을 읽고, 묵상하며, 하나님의 계명을 알고 있습니다.

예수님이 우리를 사랑하셨듯 서로 사랑하라는 말씀도 익히 들어왔습니다.

하지만 정직하게 말합시다.

아는 것과 사는 것은 전혀 다릅니다.

‘내가 예수님을 믿는다고 말하면서도

왜 여전히 사랑하지 못할까?’

‘왜 용서가 안 되고,

왜 자존심이 먼저 앞설까?’

사랑은 말처럼 쉽지 않습니다.

내 감정과 상황을 내려놓고 누군가를 사랑한다는 것은

자신의 옛사람을 철저히 부인하고, 완전히 새사람이 되어야만 가능한 일입니다.

이것은 사람의 결심이나 노력으로 되는 것이 아닙니다.

​

🟥 Why is it so hard to live what we know?

We read the Bible.

We meditate on God’s Word.

We know the commandment to love one another just as Christ has loved us.

But let’s be honest.

Knowing something and actually living it out are two completely different things.

I often ask myself:

"If I truly believe in Jesus,

why do I still struggle to love others?"

"Why is it so hard to forgive?"

"Why does my pride get in the way?"

Love is never easy.

To love someone, especially in difficult moments, means laying down our emotions and rights.

It means dying to the old self and becoming a completely new creation.

And that doesn’t happen by human effort or good intentions.

Only God can make that transformation.

🟨 그래서 예수님만 믿는다고 해도 충분하지 않은 이유

요한이서 묵상 : 진리를 알아도 사랑하지 않으면... 아무 소용 없습니다.

요한서신은 우리에게 분명히 경고합니다.

“사랑은 곧 하나님의 계명을 따라 사는 것입니다.”

그리고,

“그리스도의 교훈 안에 거하지 않는 자는 그 안에 하나님이 계시지 않다.” (요한 1 서 1:6, 9)

즉, 사랑 없는 믿음은 공허합니다.

아무리 신앙이 좋다 해도,

그 삶에서 주님의 사랑이 나타나지 않는다면

그 믿음은 성숙되지 못한 믿음입니다.

믿음에서 사랑으로 나아가는 이 간극은

지식이 부족해서가 아니라, 성령님의 감화가 없기 때문입니다.

​

🟨 Why believing in Jesus alone is not enough

The book of 2 John gives us a serious reminder:

“Love means doing what God has commanded us.”

And again,

“Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son.” (2 John 1:6, 9)

In other words,

Faith without love is empty.

You can claim strong faith, but if the love of Christ doesn’t show through your life,

that faith has not matured.

This gap between faith and love isn't about lack of knowledge.

It’s about a lack of the Holy Spirit’s transforming work in us.

🟩 성령님의 감화 감동 없이 사랑은 실천될 수 없습니다

사랑은 내가 하는 것이 아니라

성령님께서 내 안에서 이루시는 일입니다.

저 건주부도

말씀을 알고, 믿고, 묵상하고, 가르치고 있지만

사랑으로 사는 것,

말없이 섬기는 것,

상처 준 사람을 용서하고 품는 것,

이 모든 일은 제힘으로 불가능합니다.

성령님의 감화 감동이 없으면,

저는 여전히 자기중심적이고, 약하고, 이기적이며, 쉽게 무너지는 사람일 뿐입니다.

그러나

성령님께서 제 안에 머무시고,

감정과 생각을 다루시고,

제 자아를 부수고 순종케 하실 때,

비로소 진리 안에서 사랑하는 삶이 가능해집니다.

​

🟩 Without the Holy Spirit, we simply cannot love

Love isn't something we produce on our own.

It is the fruit of the Holy Spirit working inside us.

Though I, Gunjoobu,

know the Word, believe in Jesus, and teach Scripture,

still I struggle to live a life of love.

To serve silently,

to forgive deeply,

to embrace those who hurt me,

these are not things I can do in my own strength.

Without the Spirit’s presence,

I remain self-centered, weak, and easily shaken.

But when the Holy Spirit dwells in me,

softening my emotions,

breaking my ego,

and leading me to obedience,

that’s when love becomes possible.

🟦 성령 없이 사랑을 실천하려 하면 무너집니다

성령님의 인도 없이

사랑을 실천하려 한다면 어떻게 될까요?

작은 오해에도 상처받고 삐지고,

정당한 일에 분노가 일어나고,

칭찬받지 못하면 실망하고 낙심합니다.

사랑은 결단이 아니라, 은혜의 역사입니다.

사랑은 내가 만드는 것이 아니라,

성령님께 항복할 때 자연스럽게 흘러나오는 열매입니다.

그래서 오늘도 저는 주님께 엎드려 고백합니다.

“주님, 저는 사랑할 수 없습니다.

성령님, 저를 붙들어 주소서.”

​

🟦 Trying to love without the Spirit will break you

What happens when we try to love without the Spirit’s help?

We become easily offended.

We get upset over misunderstandings.

We burn out when we’re not appreciated.

We become bitter, discouraged, and defensive.

Why?

Because love is not just a decision, it’s a miracle of grace.

Love is not something we force ourselves to do.

It’s the fruit of surrender to the Spirit.

And that’s why, every day, I find myself crying out:

“Lord, I can’t love like You do.

Holy Spirit, help me. I need You.”

🟪 오늘, 성령님의 감화 감동을 간구하십시오

사랑하는 여러분,

우리가 진리 안에 거하기 위해선

예수님을 믿는 것에서 멈추면 안 됩니다.

성령님의 다스리심 아래 살아야 합니다.

말씀을 알지만 행하지 못하고 있다면,

그 이유는 성령님과의 교제가 끊겼기 때문입니다.

오늘 이 순간부터

다시 무릎 꿇고 기도합시다.

말씀을 단지 읽는 데서 끝나지 않고,

사랑으로 살아내는 진짜 믿음의 사람이 되기 위해

성령님의 감화 감동을 매일 구해야 합니다.

​

🟪 Today, ask for the Holy Spirit’s help to love

Dear friends,

if we truly want to live in the truth,

we can’t stop at merely believing in Jesus.

We must live under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

If you know God’s Word but aren’t living it,

it’s time to reconnect with the Spirit.

Start today.

Kneel again in prayer.

Don’t settle for head knowledge,

become a person who lives out God’s love.

Let’s daily ask the Spirit to soften our hearts,

fill us with divine compassion,

and help us love even when it’s hard.

🙏 함께 기도합시다 (Action & Intercession)

하나님 아버지,

진리로 우리를 부르시고,

예수 그리스도의 십자가로 우리를 구속하신 사랑을 찬양합니다.

그러나 저는 아직 부족하고,

사랑하지 못하고,

자주 넘어지고 유혹에 흔들리는 자입니다.

성령님, 오셔서 저를 붙들어 주시고,

제 자아를 부수시고,

말씀을 단지 아는 것이 아니라 살아내는 자 되게 하소서.

사랑을 삶으로 실천하며,

진리 안에 거하는 새사람이 되게 하소서.

그리하여 이 땅에 하나님의 나라를 나타내는 도구가 되게 하소서.

​

건주부의 사역과 HSRI 사업 위에도

하나님의 손길이 함께하시고,

모든 수익과 자원이

선교와 구제로 쓰이게 하소서.

예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.

​

🙏 Let us pray (Action & Intercession)

Heavenly Father,

we praise You for calling us into truth

and for redeeming us through the cross of Jesus Christ.

But we confess, Lord,

we are still weak.

We fail to love.

We stumble and are easily tempted.

Holy Spirit,

come dwell within us.

Break our pride.

Lead us beyond knowing the Word,

help us to live it out.

Make us new people who walk in truth and love,

so that through our lives,

Your Kingdom may be revealed here on earth.

​

We especially pray for Gunjoobu’s ministry and the HSRI mission —

that Your hand would be upon every project,

every provision, and every opportunity,

and that all resources may be used

for the spread of the Gospel and works of mercy.

In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
